Welcome to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Junior School

I hope you enjoy browsing our website and are able to get from it the ‘feel’ of our school.Julie - Our Principal

At Our Lady of Peace Junior School we pride ourselves on trying to live the word of God in all we say and do. The whole family of our school is respected and cared for from pupils to parents, to staff, to parish and local community. Our pupils feel safe and secure and our staff are caring and sympathetic to the needs of them all.

We are constantly striving for excellence. We want to open doors of opportunity for our pupils and so we offer a broad and challenging curriculum.

We are a school that says, “Yes”: yes, to constantly evaluating our strengths and weaknesses; yes, to possibilities such as maximising the impact of London 2012 Olympic Year; yes, to learning about the local, national and global community through partnerships.

We value highly the links with the parents/carers of our pupils. We work together so that our pupils can be the best that they can be. We are proud of our pupils and of the fact that they move to the next phase of their education as rounded individuals with a strong understanding about how to learn, about their own potential and how to make the right choices.

For me, Nelson Mandela summed up the message we hope our pupils take with them when they leave our school,

We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God
